A VCE-26 member, together with a group of donors and volunteers, took part in a project to provide power to Kampung Mentapok, a remote village in Ranau, Sabah. They installed a mini hydro generator which uses water from a nearby river. The electricity generated provided every home with light. This has improved the quality of life for the villagers as children are able to study at night and adults can work on their jungle/farm produce.
