Jeffrey Khor – Vistage Chair Profile

Jeffrey Khor, age 65, is currently the Executive Director for Khind-Mistral (M) Sdn. Bhd., a key marketing subsidiary of public listed Khind Holding Berhad. After 22 years of selfless devotion to Khind, he will retire in April and embark on a new journey for the ‘second half’ of his life. He has been recognized as being instrumental in transforming the company from a Chinese family business to a hundred million enterprise in Peninsula Malaysia, dealing with KHIND & Mistral brand of electrical home appliances. His 11 years of persistent effort in export marketing and development has also cumulated to the availability of KHIND products in more than 50 countries worldwide. And locally, he has successfully uplifted Khind’s image from being a me-too player to a more prestigious and differentiated marketer, with many innovative products like the Anshin collection of stainless steel rice cookers and steamers, Brown Rice Specialist ceramic cookers, Anshin Double Boilers, Japanese air circulator, Aedes Busters, Mist fans, Air fryers etc.

Prior to his employment with khind, he was the manager for Consumer and Sports division in Guthrie Malaysia Trading Corporation, a trading subsidiary of Kumpulan Guthrie Berhad. All in all, he has over 20 years of valuable exposure in managing and building small businesses, and 15 years of rewarding career in 2 public listed compamies. He deeply empathize with the small and medium enterprises in this country and understands their critical needs and issues well.

In the 70’s, he obtained his honour degree in Physics and mathematics from University of London, and a postgraduate diploma in Business Administration from University of Malaya. In 2003, he was blessed with a MBA ( Marketing) from Charles Stuart University, Australia.

Over the last 20 years, he has witnessed the fall of many small and big enterprises due to weaknesses in their systems and /or wrong business decisions. And sad to say that today many of them have yet to recover. If they were blessed with a trustable coach or group to give them some valuable views and advice, their misfortunes may have been avoided or prevented and their losses mimized. As such, he has decided to devote the second half of his life for the small & medium enterprises in this country, and to help them in managing their issues. He embraces the wisdom that “ two heads are better than one ” and humility is the key from being ‘Good to Great’.

He is proficient in English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia, and speaks some Japanese. In his leisure time, he loves to play golf, tennis, table tennis, basketball and do some gardening to pursue a more balanced life. He lives his values of sincerity, humility as well as credibility.
