Lim Kah Hooi has held senior management positions including the post of Managing Director in American Multinationals operating in Malaysia. He is currently a Regional Chair with Vistage Malaysia. For the past 13 years through the auspices of TEC/Vistage, Kah Hooi has been involved in coaching CEOs and senior executives to outperform their competitors. He has conducted more than 6,000 hours of one-to-one sessions and 400 CEO/Key Executive full-day sessions.
Kah Hooi started his career with Hewlett Packard Malaysia as an Engineer and moved quickly up the corporate ladder to hold key management positions including managing an entire Business Entity of RM100million. He helped to pioneer the Total Quality Control (TQC) movement in Hewlett Packard Malaysia and was recognized with the ‘Best Manager Award’ during the Company’s 17th Annual QCC Convention.
He was subsequently headhunted to lead a start-up for an American Disk Drive company in Malaysia. From then on, he gained invaluable experiences in this turbulent and challenging industry for almost 5 years.
In 1995, after 18 years of corporate life, Kah Hooi followed his passion to become an Independent Management Consultant. He has since served as a Consultant for the Institute of Strategic and International Studies (ISIS) Malaysia and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) on the Study of the Malaysian Electronics Industry. He is also involved in facilitating Strategic Planning sessions for Malaysian Corporations and Industry Associations like the Associations of Medical Manufacturing Industries (AMMI) and the Malaysian Plastics Manufacturers Association (MPMA).
Kah Hooi has a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors in Electronics and Electrical Engineering and a Masters degree in Industrial Management, both from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom.
