Bernard holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management and Master in Marketing from the University of Northumbria at Newcastle, United Kingdom. He also holds a Master in Business Administration from Heriot-Watt University, United Kingdom. He is an Associate of the Institute of Training and Development.
He has traveled extensively in the Asia Pacific region as Corporate Marketing Director with the Unilever Group and has acquired extensive experience in the opening of new market, export development and setting up of companies in export markets. He has contributed to openings of many hotels and is equally adept with operations in Rooms Division, Food & Beverage, Sales & Marketing and Finance. Bernard’s wide-ranging assignments have taken him to countries like Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA, UK and Asian countries including Indonesia, Brunei, Phillipines, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Indochina, Singapore, Maldives, Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan and Thailand specializing in Sales and Marketing, Operations Management, Manufacturing, Logistic, Alignment, Turnaround Management and Business Excellence initiatives.
He also conducts training and undertakes projects in process management, sales and marketing, negotiation, change management, operation management, executive development, mentoring, finance, mergers and takeover, financial planning, hospitality and youth development programs.
