Donal Crotty
Donal is an international Mentor, Life Coach, Executive Leader and Global Services Consultant with over 30 years’ experience in people/operations leadership, customer advocacy, professional services, M&A, call centres, business development, and BPO.
With his home in Malaysia, Donal was brought up in Ireland and has since lived in 8 countries across Europe with work teams covering 35 countries from all 5 continents. His vertical experience, as both a business leader and consultant, includes Cyber Security, IT, Telecommunications, Finance, Insurance, Aviation, Electronics and Retail, working for global brand names as Boeing, Sony, HP, NIKE, BT and Telia. In 2016, Donal moved focus from Leadership and Consulting to business mentoring and life coaching, where he has since engaged over 60 clients from CEO’s to Technical Entrepreneurs. He is also a non-executive board member of two Finnish technology companies, Sparta Consulting and Diago Global.
Donal’s passion is all about people, their wellbeing, challenges and possibilities. His philosophy is about living one’s values with a clarity of purpose, objective and outcome. His practice is about energizing and enabling Leaders and Organizations to deliver measurable success through self- awareness, positive people communications and great customer experience. In addition to his working as a mentor and life coach, Donal is also Chairman and General Manager of the Irish Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia.
His top three selected career achievements over 30 years as an executive leader, consultant, mentor and life coach include:
- Being Lead Consultant in the development of Sony’s European support services for the launch of VAIO in 1997 and in designing their first global service marketing program VAIOLINK which remained in place until 2018.
- As VP of Operations for global BPO Steam International in 2005, restructured his 3500 person team across 14 sites with improved profitability of $9m (8.5%) and new business sales of $4m within 12 months.
- As a Life Coach in 2020, assisted nurse in Covid-19 hospital in returning to work after suffering severe panic and anxiety attacks brought on by the impact of the pandemic. Followed with 6 months of more general coaching. Outcome as described in her testimonial “I want to say Donal gave me my life back but in reality, he showed me the path back to myself and I chose to walk”.
