SHIVA VENKATRAMAN

Shiva is a Chairman of the Board/Independent Director, Founder and Chief Executive Officer with over twenty years of board and executive level experience across Venture capital, Financial services, Telecommunications, IT, Technology and Software development industries in both large Multinational corporations and start-ups. His Board experience includes: Board Membership at CEN – contributing to the development and expansion strategies, governance and leadership team development and Chairman at MIT for a non-profit entrepreneurship club.

In an executive capacity Shiva is the Founder, Chairperson and currently Chief Executive Officer of Varidus – leading a venture capital company working across Family Offices, Funds, Fund of Funds, start-ups, investment banking and coaching CEOs and Board Members in strategic business development, capital raising and reduction of operating costs, leading to an exit. Shiva also has experience as a Deal Flow Ambassador with Castor & Spike Ventures, in the USA, where he works with Founders, CEOs and Board of Directors of privately held technology firms to raise finance through Top Tier Venture Capital Funds in the United States and Asia.

Prior to this he was the Chief Technologist and Strategist for Hewlett Packard in Singapore, where he created a revenue pipeline of over $60M and generated more than $500M in revenue. Previously as Microsoft’s Lead Product Manager, he delivered about $1B in new online services, transforming the 250,000 strong Microsoft Partner Channel.

Shiva has a Master of Business Administration from MIT’s prestigious Sloan Fellows Program, a Master of Science from Purdue in Industrial Engineering, a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Bombay, India’s most prestigious school and has completed the Singapore Institute of Directors Training for listed companies.

He is also an Adjunct Faculty at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Singapore and recently won the Best New Faculty of the Year Award.
