Retiring soon, this senior business management figure believes in the value of practical skills, focusing on Sales, Marketing, New Business Start-Up, Business Operations, General Management, Business Strategic Planning, People Management, Distributorship and Route To Market, and Personal Effectiveness Skills.

Chua started as a Chemist at Singapore GSK in 1990; returned to Malaysia where he was involved in Product Development at Unilever Malaysia in 1992; and eventually moved on to commercial roles in sales and trade marketing at Unilever Malaysia and Singapore until 2010.

Chua then spent the next five years at Dutch Lady (Friesland Campina) and performed a turnaround for its chilled business as well as started a food service new business pillar in 2012. Thereafter, he joined SGS as a Division GM and Etika Fresh Milk as the GM cum appointed Director. Chua then moved to Bernas Bhd as its Senior GM overseeing several consumer-fronting subsidiaries and served as an appointed Director in some subsidiaries.

For the last two years, he has been working with Haco Asia Pacific in Business Development International Trade. Recently, Chua had obtained a TTT certificate and qualified as a HRDC accredited trainer. Chua strongly believes in driving business growth by strengthening fundamentals in a sustainable manner with continuous improvements to stay competitive and see the value in people who work together to achieve more for all involved.

Aged 60, Chua is a registered Chemist in Malaysia under the Chemist Act 1975 and obtained his MBA from Victoria University Melbourne in 2015. In May 2026, he became an accredited trainer under HRDC. Chua has also served Sunway University for seven years as a mentor to graduating students until 2023.
