Dr Mike left Corporate Asia in April 2024 to restart his Business Coaching and Mentoringjourney with local SMEs through a company he started back in 2022. With more than 30 yearsCorporate experience in Asia-Pacific, Dr Mike has climbed the ranks in the FMCG andPharmaceutical industries. His highest achievement in FMCG was celebrated with the coveted“World’s Best Sales Leader in Danone in 2018”. He had also turnaround three businesses withgreat success during his more than 30 years experience in Corporate Asia.

In his last position as a Group COO in Vietnam, he had assisted Morgan Stanley Private Equity in systemizing a newly- acquired business in FMCG at end-2022. Though without any business degree (he later pursued an MBA and a DBA), Dr Mike’s achievements to-date are a testament of his learning agility and adaptability – from a scientific and a factual background to a VUCA-type of business landscape.

Dr Mike is an ICF-certified PCC Coach, NLP Coach, Happiness Coach, LEGO Serious Play Certified Facilitator and 3 Brains Coaching. He runs his own Coach Training workshop that helps leaders to change their game and results by using creative coaching techniques uncommon in ICF-type coaching workshops. His extensive experience covers all aspects of Commercial, Finance, Marketing and Trade Sales with an in-depth market knowledge of Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam.

In summarizing his more than 30 years of experience, Dr Mike is often touted a “kingmaker”- a role in which he thrives whencreating many successful lobbying platforms, product launches and, more importantly, shaping CEOs and people leaders who todayare successful regional or global leaders in corporate and private companies. Today, he is actively mentoring almost 10 C-suites andEmerging Leaders in SMEs to navigate growth in their businesses and careers. Whether the business is worth >500mio Euros to>RM1mio, Dr Mike is able to scale it down or up his approach by providing a personal touch in his business coaching.

His personal mission in life is to “impact SME Leadership in Malaysia, one company at a time”. By doing so, SMEs can also create impact on their employees and communities.
