Roland Victor
Roland Victor has been in the semiconductor and electronics manufacturing services (EMS) industry for more than 30 years. Having graduated with an Engineering degree and an MBA (Strathclyde, UK), his last posting as a senior director of a multinational company (MNC) saw him helming roles in engineering, new product introduction (NPI) and global account management.
His diverse experience includes product and test engineering, business development as well as project and account management. As he had worked mainly in account management for over 10 years, he was responsible for the overall business, customer engagement and P&L.
His achievements include growing the said portfolio’s revenue to more than double, improving profitability, customer engagement and the manufacturing team’s execution. This was the result of close customer engagement, effective team management in Singapore and Johor, leveraging regional teams, active negotiation strategies and a deep dive into financials and cost reduction programmes.
Roland is passionate about personal development, holistic living, team collaboration and improving business relationships. His experience in an MNC allows him to effectively teach skills related to programme management and business development.
As a Human Resource Development Corp-approved trainer, he provides training to groom upcoming leaders. Now, he is looking into areas where he can further contribute to the business community, especially leaders seeking to learn and grow.
Roland is also actively involved in church activities. He enjoys teaching youths to be outstanding contributors to society as well, apart from outdoor activities such as running in Penang where he is based.
