From advising companies on going public to building one of Malaysia’s leading healthcare groups, Lim Boon Siong has spent more than three decades helping organisations to grow, transform and create lasting value.
A former merchant banker turned entrepreneur, Boon Siong has helped multiple companies in achieving public listings and participated in fundraising exercises worth hundreds of millions of dollars from the capital markets. This experience gave him a strong foundation in corporate finance, strategic planning, governance, mergers and acquisitions and value creation.
Inspired to build and not just provide advice, he co-founded VISTA Eye Specialist and spent the next 27 years growing it from a single-centre practice to one of Malaysia’s leading eyecare groups with 18 centres nationwide. Under his leadership, VISTA became
recognised for innovation, premium patient experience and purpose-driven growth, earning distinctions such as Newsweek Asia’s Top Private Hospitals and B Corp Certification before becoming part of a leading healthcare group.
Along the journey, Boon Siong realised the most valuable leadership lessons were not in balance sheets. They came from navigating
uncertainty, building teams, making difficult decisions, managing rapid growth, leading through crises and experiencing firsthand that leadership is often a lonely experience.
Having experienced entrepreneurship, scaling, succession, acquisition and transformation, he understands the realities leaders face
behind closed doors. Today, his passion is helping business owners and CEOs to accelerate business growth and personal fulfilment.
Known for staying at the forefront of innovation, Boon Siong has championed initiatives in organisational culture, gamification,
customer experience and AI adoption long before they became mainstream business topics. He combines practical business experience with a deep interest in Ikigai, longevity, leadership development and creating extraordinary experiences for other people.
