Adrian Ung
Adrian Ung is a seasoned commercial leader, social enterprise founder, and leadership practitioner with over 30 years of hands-on experience spanning sales leadership, business development, organisational growth, and stakeholder engagement across Malaysia.
He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Books For A Better World (BFBW), a multi-location social enterprise dedicated to improving literacy and access to education for underserved communities. Under his leadership, BFBW has grown into a recognised platform that blends commercial sustainability with measurable social impact, supported by corporates, volunteers, NGOs, and community partners nationwide.
In parallel, Adrian serves as Group Commercial Director of Nature Farm Group, where he leads growth strategy, channel expansion, and commercial partnerships across modern trade, HORECA, and institutional segments. His career includes senior leadership roles such as CEO, Group Commercial Director, Commercial Director, and General Manager across FMCG, food & beverage, retail, collectibles, and lifestyle businesses.
Adrian is also deeply involved in leadership development and service. He is the President of the Kiwanis Club of Visionaries and Membership Growth Chair for Kiwanis Malaysia, where he leads national-level growth strategies, leadership pipelines, and community-driven initiatives. He is an HRD Corp Accredited Trainer, and frequently facilitates conversations around leadership, purpose, and organisational growth.
As a Vistage Chair, Adrian brings a practical, grounded, and peer-driven approach to advisory boards. He believes that great CEOs do not need more theory — they need clarity, perspective, trusted challenge, and a safe space to think. Having built, scaled, restructured, and led organisations through both growth and constraint, Adrian understands the realities of leadership — the pressure, the isolation, and the responsibility of decision-making.
He is passionate about helping CEOs and business owners grow sustainably, lead with confidence, and build organisations that endure, while remaining aligned to their values and purpose.
