Dato’ Vincent Choo graduated from Eastern Michigan University, USA with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, majoring in Marketing. Upon graduation, he worked for many years in various multinational companies, gaining extensive experience in branding, marketing, operations, sales and business development across the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and travel retail sectors. His last corporate role was Area Director overseeing Asia and the Middle East, before he became an entrepreneur.

In 2004, he was appointed Subway’s Development Agent for Malaysia, where he successfully made the brand a household name. Today, Subway is the world’s largest franchise, with over 36,000 restaurants in 106 countries.

He, together with his children, have co-founded new F&B brands such as Urban Ground, Urban Ground Express, Chic Ole Fried Chicken, Belacan Laa Malaysian Cuisine and Gratzi. As the Founding Advisor and Managing Director, he is committed to mentoring a new generation to build scalable retail and franchise models for domestic and international markets.

He still develops new F&B concepts and had recently acquired an established international brand, Little Caesars Pizza – the top three largest pizza chain in the world – for expansion in Malaysia.

In his career, Choo has received more than 45 accolades and been appointed an honorary judge for various business awards. He also contributes actively to industry associations and holds various positions such as advisory roles.
