Desmond Ng

Desmond Ng retired as the CEO of Petsmore and Blackbox BI, subsidiaries of Senheng Bhd group, in June 2021 after spending 10 years with the Group, to pursue his passion in mentoring young entrepreneurs in Social New Retail transformation.

With a prolific career, he had spent 15 years as a group general manager in retail and distribution in the consumer electronics industry. He then started his own business holding distributorship for renowned international brands such as INDESIT, Whirlpool and Scholtes. Their successful debut led to a merging exercise with Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar in 1997, growing the annual revenue from RM18 million to RM60 million for the following year.

Ng started a retail chain with over 130 outlets in 2000 offering telecommunication products and services and in 2009, he successfully divested the business to SPICE i2i, a Singapore listed company.

After completing a service contract, he co-founded a business intelligence company in 2013 and spent his last 10 years working there before retiring. At the business intelligence company, he mastered a data-driven performance technology that helped over 60 local enterprises in delivering sustainable profits.

Ng is currently the founder of an S2B2C platform, where he also has an advisory role. He is helping to aggregate products and service providers that target consumers.
