Dato’ Indra Gunawan Alamshah

Dato’ Indra Gunawan Alamshah has been a Vistage CEO Chair since 2016 and currently chairing a wide variety of CEO members from Europe, Australia and Malaysia. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Missouri, Columbia USA. He was on the Dean’s Honor List in the Industrial Engineering faculty. He also attended an Advanced Management Program at INSEAD EURO-ASIA CENTRE.

He has more than 30 years of experience in corporate Turnaround through Leadership management, marketing, human capital and Information & Communication Technologies (ICT) coupled with his years of experience as CEO in managing high-profile start-up companies.

Recruited from Puncak Semangat Group (part of Al Bukhary Group of Companies), he was the Group CEO helming the Technology group. His management philosophy incorporated the business and technology transformation in achieving improvements across the group. He provided the leadership and strategic direction for the group and was the key force in turning around and bringing the group to the next level of performance and growth. Earlier in his career years Indra was the CEO of Dagangnet Sdn Bhd, a Chief of Operations of Alexander Proudfoot (a USA based multinational productivity consultant company) and a senior manager at The New Straits Time Press (NSTP). He started his working career as an Industrial Engineer in Motorola Malaysia.

As an entrepreneur, Indra founded 2 of his own companies, which deals with ICT and Cattle Farming business. In addition, he acts as Business Advisor in Marketing and Turnaround Management to those that want to bring their companies to the next level.
