Peter Wee

Peter Wee is a member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants, Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia, CPA Australia and is currently a business coach at the Asian School of Business/MIT MBA Program.  He is a Partner at Nexea Angels, an early stage Venture Capital firm in Kuala Lumpur and has been mentoring start up companies for the past 3 years. He is currently Advisor to two MNC companies.

Peter graduated from the Australian National University in Canberra with a Bachelor of Commerce degree.  He then joined Price Waterhouse in Kuala Lumpur (later merged to become PwC) and spent two years in the PwC Banking and Capital Markets team in London.  He moved on from PwC after serving for 19.5 years, where his last position was that of Executive Director.  He was Managing Director of Ricoh Malaysia, Group CEO for Crop Protection Malaysia and later Group CEO of Rotiboy Bakeshoppe.  

Over the last 28 years he has had considerable experience in consulting, organizational management and Mergers & Acquisition & Integration, an exercise he carried out when he was with Ricoh Malaysia. During his time in Ricoh Malaysia, the company doubled its revenues, and his leadership skills were honed.

Through the Malaysian Business Angel Network (MBAN), where he is a Council member, he is championing Corporate Innovation initiatives. He is currently pursuing Design Thinking accreditation at MIT.  Peter is always more than happy to share his business experience garnered over the years, with his mentees in the start-up arena to develop their business models.  With his consulting, organizational experience and extensive business network, he has helped many companies scale their businesses and increase their enterprise value and hone their leadership skills.
