William Lien

William Lien, the Co-founder & Chief Commercial Officer of MystartrGroup Sdn Bhd, brings extensive expertise and knowledge to the forefront ofthe ECF (Equity Crowdfunding) landscape. As a recognized Market Operatorby the Security Commission Malaysia, Mystartr holds a prominent position asthe leading Platform under Mr Lien’s leadership. He graduated with a majorin Management Science from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1990.

William commenced his career as an Area Account Manager in Northern California for Acer USA, marking thebeginning of a transformative professional journey. In 1993, he returned to Malaysia and set up Acer Southern regionfrom RM1 million to RM100 million revenue within 6 years as the No. 1 market leader in the ICT industry and waspromoted as General Manager in charge of an eCommerce O2O business.

During his career path, William held prominent executive roles, notably as a top executive at Acer Group & HarveyNorman Malaysia. He played an executive role in enhancing these companies’ positions as leading brands in the IT andMass Merchant industries, contributing significantly to their profitability and market share.

Beyond his corporate roles, William’s active involvement in Malaysia’s business scene includes serving as ViceChairman of Information Technology at ACCCIM promoting ICT within SMEs.

Additionally, he offers expertise as a mentor and panel judge across various accelerators, guiding numerous aspiringbusinesses with funding strategies. William steadfast mission focuses on advocating Equity Crowdfunding (ECF) as acatalyst for startup and SME growth enabling opportunities for M&A eventually IPOs.
