Ahmad Zaki bin Embi

Ahmad Zaki headed one of the Formis Berhad group’s biggest companies, Formis Network Services. During his tenure, he built up the business to cross over the RM100 million mark, hitting a high point of RM145 million annual sales. He built, led and managed a team of 7 Business Managers and 70 staff into a sustainable business platform based on solid reputation to achieve the company’s objectives. He brought about a company transformation to focus on good reputation, strong business ethics and practices. Among the major projects achieved was the Ministry of Finance integrated budget system, the MoH Casemix for costing healthcare, the e-Courts projects, MoE schools computerization, Celcom transmission, along with many others for the Government Sectors, Universities, and Petronas.

Zaki also has extensive experience in restructuring and streamlining an organization to operate efficiently and profitably, always maintaining the good reputation of the company. Besides continuously improving his Management skills in Planning and Strategy, Analyzing, Organizing and Marketing, Ahmad Zaki finds the skill in motivating his staff to give their best, one of the most vital responsibilities of his job.

Prior to Formis, he had substantial business experience in building his own company in telecommunications as a Value-Added Integrator to Lucent Technologies (Avaya). He had previously been an International Product Manager at Sapura International, travelling extensively for business in USA, Europe, South Africa and ASEAN. He also helmed large scale exhibitions which includes the Sapura exhibitions for the annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, CeBIT in Hannover, Telecoms Geneva, CommunicAsia Singapore, and LIMA Langkawi.

Zaki has been diving for 30 years and is a certified SCUBA Advanced Instructor, Nitrox and Rebreather diver. Moreover, he has a passion in photography where he took amazing photos for 15 years.
